Day 130: Maddie's Beaten Silver Oblongs

Today its another pair of earrings from dearest Maddie (Day 21) - a pair of silver oblongs that she gave me about six years ago as a birthday gift. They are dramatic and I love wearing them, but they are on the heavy side so I tend to wear them for shorter bursts to protect my long- ago pierced holes. I'd hate to have to move to clip ons - which I find painful and lacking in options compared with pierced earrings.

My daily routine for this week at least seems to have a clear pattern. An morning walk, then home to do some work. Today I had an extra treat as I shuffled along, running into my gorgeous neighbours Bec and Katie. We had a brief catch up with promises to get together properly soon. I also enjoyed phone conversations with Kavitha on her thesis, and with Steph, plotting out some steps for the future of the Institute.

On Day 130 I'm still very bloated. I wake every morning hoping its shifted, but if anything, it's getting worse. I'm putting on weight by the day even though my diet is improving now I'm able to eat a bigger variety of food, but it seems to make no difference. I just have to sit this out I suppose.

Angus and Rob headed off to see Vivid tonight; I'm sorry to miss the lights this year but the idea of engaging with a heaving crowd gives me the jitters. It gives me a chance for a night with James, which I always enjoy.
