What a change in the weather today - from a glorious warm day yesterday, to a chilly one today. This sort of matches my mood. I was feeling great yesterday, but after a rough night, I woke with another rotten headache and felt like I'd taken a step backwards. Working hard to ignore it, I headed out of a morning walk with Rob, Angus and Molly then distracted myself with phone calls to Steph and Andy. Poor things, both of them are unwell with sore throats, as Nat has been. Here at camp isolation I've remained lurgie free, thank goodness; to catch one would probably land me in hospital right now. I'm sending get well wishes to them all. While Rob had the boys out on a Easter Holiday shopping adventure in town, I did little bit of work on Rose and my chapter on 'gender just judging' in international courts, but given she's done such a great job, there's hardly anything for me to do - gratitude! Rose is such a star!
Today I'm wearing another pair of 'old friend' earrings. These little quartz crystals I purchased with Deb in Melbourne, at the same time as I bought Onyx 2 (Day 9). They're discreet and simple, but I wear them frequently and they often travel with me. I see from photos I had them on the trip Rob, James and I made to the States when I was pregnant with Angus is 2006, and when we were living in Edinburgh in 2013. These photos show just how quickly Jamie has grown! At 14 he's developing lots of teenager traits - but mostly he remains our chatty boy with a sunny outlook, for which we are eternally grateful.
By late afternoon I was feeling brighter, enjoying a late afternoon walk and a night with the puzzle, and I'm done with Day 77.
