It's been lovely to see Dad and Margie's relationship blossom, and for them now to be so happily married. Dad is a very lucky man to have been surrounded his whole life with such great women: his wonderful mother (Day 44); Mum, his wife of 50 years; his four daughters and daughter in law; and now the lovely Margie. As I said in my speech at their wedding last November, "Since entering Dad’s orbit, we have all been touched by Margie’s incredible gentleness, sensitivity, and kindness. We are so grateful for the joy Margie has brought to Dad's life, for her care and nurturing of him and for the happiness she have re-instilled in him. These are incredible gifts, and for which we will all be forever grateful".
Day 75 has been another very quiet one. The boys are both tired from a busy week and term, so we all laid very low, with a family walk in the glorious late afternoon sunshine a highlight. I booked Sydney Writer's Festival tickets with Robbie and with Maddie, Lindsey and Cazy today for the end of May. It's so great to now be planning things that will be at the end of this awful treatment. I've been showered with messages of love and support from near and far which has really bucked me up.
