It was a busy day today and demonstrated two things to me: 1) how far I've come since the the depths of the chemoworld; 2) how important it is that I try and pace myself a bit better than I did today as I'm completely pooped!

Max and me |
I was up early to manage the school prep and walked Angus up to school with Molly. I jumped in the car and made it over to Radiocity just in time for my daily burn then headed off to campus - the first visit for a few weeks. My first treat for the day on campus was meeting up with a wonderful colleague and friend from the Hague, Max Marcus, who is an amazing international prosecutor, especially of crimes of sexual violence. Andy and I first met Max in Belfast a few years ago where we all instantly clicked, and have been in contact ever since.

Andy with Kirsten and Alison, the report's authors |
After grabbing a quick coffee, Max and I walked across to the Law School to attend the launch of Andy's important report on addressing sexual violence on campus - a response to the Australian
Human Right's Commissions survey, the results of which were released on Tuesday.
The Guardian did a great feature on Andy's report today. It was launched by the UNSW Vice Chancellor to a large crowd, including the Sex Discrimination Commissioner, Kate Jenkins. It was lovely to see lots of people I haven't caught up with in months, including the incomparable Jan Breckenridge.

Me and my mate Jan |
After the launch I joined Steph for lunch, which was lovely. Nat then joined me for a cup of tea before we headed across for her final PhD review...she's getting so close to submission now, it's really exciting.
Robbie is still away, so the boys and I had a quiet night together. We're all missing him. I'm packing tonight for my trip to Brisbane tomorrow. I'm so looking forward to getting away for a few days.
Today I was wearing a special necklace, a silver Tiffany's piece with linked hoops that Rob gave me for Christmas about 6 years ago. I wear it often and it always make me feel linked to Robbie. It makes a lovely tinkling noise - if you listen closely, you can always hear me coming when I wear it.
